Lisk Hub 0.3.0, Two New Features and Some Minor Updates
In a blog post LiskHQ announced that the team completed the development of Lisk Hub 0.3.0. This is a minor update, but it has brand new features, such as account initialization, lock ID, copy address, home button, and a new new desktop icon.
The first two mentioned features are the most significant ones and below there are the details of those improvements.
The account initialization procedure is very important in order to increase the security of a wallet. When you make an outgoing transaction your public key can be recorded on the blockchain and therefore will be collision-free. This topic was already faced in the article “Stealing LSK by Exploiting Cryptography Flaws, LiskHQ Answers to The Concerns“.
From now on, this extra security step is available right inside the Dashboard and Wallet sections of Lisk Hub, with an easy-to-use UI that helps to send the account initialization transaction as any ordinary one.
In Lisk Hub the passphrase is saved only in the running app but until the previous version you had to close the tab or the desktop app to remove the passphrase. You can now lock the account by clicking on “Lock ID” in the account switcher.
