Crypto Guy In South Africa and his “Know Your Delegate” initiative
Crypto Guy In South Africa is an emerging youtuber that 2 weeks ago created its own channel and started to tape video tutorials about how to vote for a delegate, how to buy LSK and how to setup a Lisk node.
His latest initiative is “Know Your Delegate”, a series of videos that feature the top 101 delegates, their journey to that position, the background and proposals.
In the first episode he hosted Vipertkd, a Canadian developer and sysadmin. Vipertkd is a delegate that is part of Lisk community since the testnet, currently in 89th position and with a 50% share of the forged rewards to his voters.

Now we have the opportunity to ask some questions to Crypto Guy In South Africa and have more information about him.
What is your background and when did you start to explore Lisk ecosystem?
I’m a IT consultant in South Africa consulting on software applications that are used to run business. Been IT for over 14 years. I have looked at several currencies,I also have several currencies, also mine on proof of work currencies. Lisk interested me as it was one of the first DPoS crypto and had an interesting community due to a selected few individuals that run nodes that actively forge.
What are your future plans for your Youtube Channel? Are you planning to start other initiatives?
My plans will change and adapt to what is needed by the Lisk community. I have outlined exactly what I will do, but I will add more small videos of interesting topics. I will run more and more initiatives. In addition to the “Know your delegate” initiative I have a “Lisk Newcomer Program! 3 FREE Lisk If You Qualify!” initiative that can be seen here: https://medium.com/cryptoguyinza/lisk-newcomer-program-3-free-lisk-if-you-qualify-7053464945c0
I saw that you have registered the delegate cryptoguyinza, are you aiming at reaching a forging position?
Yes, I have registered as a delegate. I am actively looking for votes to move up the list into the 101 list. It will be difficult as many Lisk holders don’t vote, the ones that do vote usually just vote for the 101 list not fully understanding why or who. Hence I hope some of my initiatives will allow new voters to vote more wisely. I also hope my fellow delegates will support me by also voting for me!
Thank you for this brief conversation!
