Lisk Vlog #6: Mainnet release and Ecosystem Updates
August was a great month for Lisk, the most productive month yet, full of news and releases.. Lots of material for the monthly Lisk Vlog. Not much room for holidays really, when you work in the blockchain field!
So, what happened in August?
Two new people joined the team: Rachel Black (Tech Evangelist) and Jedrzej Jezierski (Community Manager).
Development Update: the most important update regarding development is – of course! – the release of Core 1.0, a huge milestone. Diego Garcia, the core product manager, explains the efforts needed to make sure this project was carried out correctly and to make sure the migration was successfull. Deposits and withdrawals of Lisk are now available again!
He also spoilers that the team is already at work for Core 1.1, with a special focus on the improvement of the API.
The Vlog continues with Will Clark, the Lead for Lisk Elements that also released recently after a complete architectural redesign. It is a collection of JavaScript libraries containing several separately-installable modules, each covering a distinct region of Lisk-related functionality and is meant to replace the previously library: LiskJS.
But updates are not finished yet, as Shusetsu Toda tell us about Lisk Commander 1.0. It is now possible for nodes to sign and verify transactions with a renewed API. He states that the team is now focused to increase user experience and stimulate developers. Then Vit Stanislav talks about the new improvements of Lisk Hub, with all functionalities updated to be compatible with Core and other new releases.
Last but not least, Lindsay Buscher, the marketing lead, provides some results from Community Surveys and other feedbacks given by the Lisk Community, stressing the relevance of the information gathered and the importance of community-provided-feedback to the team!
