April 3rd was an important date for the adoption of the Blockchain Technology in Europe and also Lisk was involved. In fact, the Residence Palace in Bruxelles hosted the launch of the INATBA (International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications).
More than 105 companies have joined INATBA, among which we find important names of the Blockchain sector such as IBM, Ripple, IOTA, Cardano e ConsenSys.
Among the founders we can find Madana, a platform for data analysis that allows participants to establish a data market while preserving privacy by design using Lisk’s Blockchain.
Max Kordek, CEO at Lisk, also attended the event. He commented in a tweet the importance of the event:
Last Wednesday the SHA3-256 hash of the #INATBAJointDeclarationOfSupport was generated. Today, I cemented it into the #Lisk #blockchain for eternity.

The purpose of the association is to create the regulatory reforms needed to facilitate the adoption of Blockchain technology in the EU offering developers and users of Distributed Ledger Technology a global forum to interact with regulators and policy makers and bring blockchain technology to the next stage through four main objectives: 1) constructive dialogue; 2) governance model; 3) development support; 4) DLT applications.
The first purpose is to establish a permanent and constructive dialogue with public authorities and regulatory authorities that will promote convergence of regulatory approaches to blockchain and other globally distributed accounting technologies.
The second concerns the promotion of an transparent, open and inclusive global governance model for the blockchain and other technological systems of distributed accounting that reflects the shared interests of the parties involved in industry, start-ups and SMEs, civil society organizations, by governments and international organizations.
The third target aims to support the creation and implementation of interoperability guidelines, global standards and specifications, to improve trusted, traceable and user-oriented digital services.
The last purpose concerns the development of specific guidelines for the various sectors and specifications for the development and acceleration of reliable sectoral and DLT blockchain applications in specific sectors.
A number of European officials are also part of INATBA and this will ensure in coordination at the legislative and legal level.
