Lisk Development Update, April 2019
After the blog post on the new SDK monorepo (presented in this article), the Lisk team has published a new Development Update with the latest news. In particular, the following updates have been released: Lisk Core 1.5.1 and 1.6.0, Lisk Hub 1.15.0, Lisk Hub beta version 1.16.0 and Lisk Mobile 1.0.0.
Lisk Core
During the month of April two Lisk Core updates were released. The first, Core 1.5.1, served to fix a bug in peer-to-peer communication. Although it was not a serious problem that affected account positions, it could still have affected peer-to-peer performance.
At the beginning of April, the Lisk team started quality control for the 1.6.0 version of the Core. During the testing phase several problems were identified, however, after five alpha versions, the quality control team gave the green light for the release of v1.6.0-alpha.5. This phase ended with the announcement of v1.6.0-rc.0 for Testnet, which led to v1.6.0-rc.4. Finally, on April 24th the final version 1.6.0 was released on the Mainnet, which allowed to reach the goal of a new flexible and modular architecture for Lisk Core. The team, however, is already working on version 2.0.0 which, among other features, will introduce better transaction processing efficiency.
Lisk Hub
On 17 April, the 1.15.0 version of Lisk Hub was released, which includes further design improvements to increase simplicity and cleanliness. In particular, the changes concern:

The next version, Lisk Hub 1.16.0, was released for beta testers on April 24th. It will help to fix many bugs and It improves different aspects of how users can interact with the interface. The team is focusing on developing the infrastructure needed to store BTC tokens and interacting with the Trezor T hardware wallet. It is expected that these features will be included in Hub 1.17.0 or 1.18.0.
Lisk Mobile
Lisk Mobile 1.0.0, the second major version of our mobile blockchain wallet, was presented to the stores on April 25 and is awaiting approval. One of the main features of this new version is the multi-currency support, starting from the BTC integration which paves the way for adding more tokens in the future. The goal was to simplify the transition between management, transaction history and the sending and request of LSK and BTC.
Lisk Mobile 1.1.0 is currently undergoing quality assurance and will be released soon. This new version will allow users to activate and deactivate discrete mode by shaking the phone and it will fix several bugs.
