LCU Involved in The First Multi-City Dutch Blockchain Week
This year the Dutch Blockchain Week will take place from the 2nd till the 7th of June 2019. The novelty of this year is that it will not take place in only one city, but the events will be held across the Country in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague, Arnhem, Tilburg and Almelo and others that will be added.
The initiator of this week is Blockchain Netherlands, they aim to bring together the Dutch ecosystem, in order to create a truly community-driven event. Their intent is also to expose the Dutch blockchain community to an international stage, strengthening and connecting it.
This year’s edition is also unique as it has been completely created and organized by the community. For this reason it contains a large number of topics, as well as events addressed to various levels of knowledge and covering all types of organization in the blockchain space.
The Dutch Blockchain Week will take place simultaneously with the Money2020 conference, that will focus on innovation in the financial industry. This event will bring an influx of thousands of international visitors, including entrepreneurs, executives and regulators. This will give a great boost to the Dutch blockchain ecosystem and therefore to the Dutch Blockchain Week.
As mentioned before, the program contains a large number of topics: from fintech to regulation, from women in tech to social good, from new economic models to technical deep-dives. To date, it has been confirmed that 16 events will take place.
Among the speakers we can find important names like Blockdata – a database of objective information about companies, projects, products, and tokens that can comprise the blockchain ecosystem); Blockchain 4 Humanity – an international not-for-profit foundation that recognizes, supports, receives donations and helps projects applying the blockchain technology on humanitarian projects; BitFury – a company that develops and delivers cutting-edge software and hardware solutions necessary for businesses, governments, organizations and individuals to securely move assets across the blockchain; and MakerDAO – a collateral-backed cryptocurrency whose value is stable relative to the U.S. Dollar.
