Today we will present a guide on how to register on the exchange EliteX, the first digital asset exchange integrated into the Lisk ecosystem that is active since a month (you can read more in the dedicated article).
Step 1: Go to the EliteX website
The EliteX website is: www.elitex.io
On the Home Page we can see the locked padlock sign (highlighted in the image above) near the web address in the address bar of the browser. It indicates that you are on the correct site and not on a phishing site. In this page you have to click on Sign Up to go to the registration page.
Step 2: Registration form
On the registration page it is necessary to fill in the various fields with the required information. First of all, don’t use the same address email that you use everyday, nor the address used in other crypto exchange. This is a simple hint that increases a lot your personal security.
Afterwards, it is necessary to write the password; obviously we suggest to choose one that is as complicated as possible. The system requires a length of at least 10 characters, with upper and lower case letters, symbols and numbers.
Then you need to click on “Send verify code”, that allows you to receive a numeric code at the email address specified above. This code must be entered in the appropriate field to continue. Be careful because your mail system could put the email with the verification code in the spam box!
Once the verification code has been entered, click on the verification button below and then on the Sign Up button.
Step 3: Verify Your Account (not mandatory)
Once logged in, you will be redirected to the Market Page.
First of all, you can verify your account. Otherwise, you will have some limits. Specifically, without the KYC verification, you can still trade but the daily withdraw amount is limited to 0.1 BTC.
If you decide to complete the verification procedure, the daily withdrawal limit will increase to 100 BTC.
To do this click on the button of your account at the top right (as shown in the image) and select “Identity Authentication” and then on the “authentication” item on the right.
On this page you must complete the fields with your name (and surname) and your country. Then you will have to choose a type of document to be uploaded (identity card, passport or driving license) and in the field below you have to write the identification number of the chosen document. As the last step, you will have to upload the front and back photographs (supported only JPG or PNG format, less than 5Mb each) of the document, plus a photo of you while you are holding the identification document and a sheet of paper with the word “EliteX.io” and the current date. Click on confirm and wait for the verification process to finish.
Step 4: Deposit Funds Into Your Account
To deposit funds, click on “Wallet” at the top right and you will be redirected to the page shown above. Here you can choose which cryptocurrency you want to deposit (or withdraw). At the beginning an address is generated and you have to send your coins to it. Be careful and don’t deposit currencies different from the selected crypto!
Step 5: Buying, Selling, and Trading Cryptocurrencies on EliteX
Once you have deposited your funds, you are ready to start trading your cryptocurrencies.
In the “Market” page you have to use the box at the bottom right to place an exchange order. You can choose between two modes: Limit and Market. In the first case, in addition to the amount to be changed, you can also indicate the price limit for which the order must be completed. In the second case, instead, the order will be completed immediately.
Finally, in the “Orders” section at the top right, you can keep an eye on the orders in progress and the history of all orders.
