News from Delegates’ World: Joo5ty and GYM
In the last days two hot news were released about the delegate ecosystem: Forrest announced that Joo5ty, Founder of Lisk.Support and Co-founder of LCU, is no longer a GDT member, while GYM, a person that recently joined the Lisk community, formally announced his candidacy for a forging delegate position.
Starting from the first news, the decision was taken in accordance between the parties: GDT members are required to hold a percentage of their forged Lisk, because those funds will be addressed to develop and promote sidechains; as Joo5ty decided to sell all of his stake, he decided to leave GDT.
It is no more required to voters to vote for Joo5ty to retain their Gold level status, but GDT ask them to continue to support this delegate since he has done an amazing work for Lisk promotion with LCU.
GDT has always supported Joo5ty & LCU and will continue to support him & LCU and any new initiatives aimed at promoting Lisk.
Currently GDT has no plan to add another member and so they will remain at 32 delegates; when they will be interested to add an additional member they will privately get in touch with the candidate that will be suitable for that open position.
Joo5ty is stopping to share the forged rewards to voters and said: “I believe we have entered a new phase in which it has become much easier to start building side chain concepts, a new challenge I like to pursue. Delegates have been privately sharing forging rewards transfering LSK from wallet to wallet. This does not add something to the value proposition of the LSK token. We could continue the way we are doing things as today, but I think it is not in the best interest for all of us. Having less tokens in our wallet but with a much higher valuation and market liquidity sound much more sustainable to me. “
We like to build a Proof of Concept on the Lisk blockchain. To make this happen we are looking for donators to help for the funding. Please have a look at our website https://t.co/2Lqrd1SppZ ?♀️?♂️

The second news is related to a fresh new candidate delegate: GYM, a security researcher focused on cryptocurrency projects.
For the last several months he has been working to fix important security vulnerabilities in many crypto projects and lately he has started to analyze better Lisk’s code, identifying and reporting 5 security issues to LiskHQ.
He is interested to continue doing this work and this is the core of his proposal: keep the network secure.
Being a mainnet delegate will allow him to use his share of the forging rewards to allocate more time to research potential security issues in the Lisk’s code and report his findings to LiskHQ.
In his latest statement he also announced that “For the next 48 hours I will refund the voting transaction fee for anyone that votes for gym even if you also vote/unvote for others in the same transaction. Send me a DM with your address once you’ve voted if you’d like a refund. That also applies to anyone who has already voted for me too”
