Lisk DAO, governance tools for communities
Peter Nobels released an
article in the LiskHQ’s blog to describe his journey in the development of LiskDAO, along with his partners
Jurre Machielsen, Raphael Cornelis, Sander Mandemaker, Marc Buma and
Xinrong Ding.
Thanks to the funding provided by the Lisk Builders Program, Peter developed a Demo (
working application) using the Lisk SDK and published the Code base backend on Github (
https://github.com/liskcenterutrecht/lcu-dao-transactions).
Now it’s possible to create a DAO and include members, then create polls and see the results; the developer implemented “one member one vote” mechanism, with no custom voting weight. Once the vote is broadcasted, it’s not possible to withdraw it. A proposal ends when the target number of votes (quorum) is met.
This Proof of Concept uses 7 different custom transactions, that allow to create and interact with the DAOs :
createAddressBook, BaseProposal, BaseVote, SimpleProposal, AddMemberProposal, SimpleVote, JoinAddressBook.
Other voting mechanisms and incentive/reward mechanisms will be implemented in the next steps.

LiskHQ closed another epic, always leading the Cryptomiso ranking
The 11th epic of Lisk SDK 5.0.0 was closed. This means that there are only
23 remaining open issues to finish the development of the version 5, related to the implementation of Network Longevity phase and SDK improvements.
No unexpected news come from
Cryptomiso, as Lisk is strongy holding the first position in the 3-month, 6-month and 12-month lists as the most active blockchain project in Github.

Lisk Vote Advisor, a tool that calculates the real % shared by delegates according to current payouts. While
Hallar.io focuses on delegate’s involvement within the Lisk ecosystem, LVA focuses on interest earned per vote. A refund mechanism is integrated for wallets that hold more than 500LSK and vote for the suggested lists.
Voting for
Hosts, it is possible to
receive 1 free LSK by
minions (no action required, just vote the list).
