Liskcrowd and Recurring Payments, two PoCs developed by Moosty
During the Lisk Community Meetup #15 Jurre Machielsen introduced himself, as both host and speaker, to present the Proof of Concept made with the Lisk SDK. The developer used custom transactions to build a recurring payment contract between two parties, allowing to define the duration, the recipient and the fee.
Few days later, he introduced Liskcrowd in this article, as part of Moosty’s participation in the Lisk Builders program.
He analyzes the current situation in the crowdfunding ecosystem, where backers have no control over the use of their donations. The solution is a platform that allows donors to withdraw their investments if expections are not met. Voting rounds are organized periodically and there investors can decide to support the project or get back part of the money.
This Proof of Concept uses six different custom transactions: Making contract, Contract funding, Start project, Vote on contract, Unlock contract by startup and Unlock contract by investor.
SDK 5.0 is just 19 issues away
Another epic (the 14th) has been closed by LiskHQ. It consists of removing the functionalities that are specific to Lisk Core, in order to make Lisk Commander usable for any blockchain application built with the Lisk SDK.
Concerns about uninitialized accounts, the position of Kordek
In the last days some concerns came out in Lisk community, especially forging delegates, as they were worried about the possibility that the 1.6M LSK account could be emptied by a potential address collision. Kordek’s position is very clear: “we will not ban, blacklist or remove any accounts through hard forks or official patch releases on the Lisk Mainnet. I understand everyone’s response and fear that 1.6M LSK are suddenly flooding the markets and pushing the prices down. We have tried to contact the owner of that wallet multiple times, sent out multiple reminders on social media channels as well. No response so far from that individual. We will send another reminder out this week. However, no other actions will be done from our side.”
If you have never made a transaction from your LSK wallet, initialize your account!
