Directory of short YouTube videos by Lisk co-founder and CEO
Within just two months, Lisk co-founder and CEO Max Kordek have made efforts at educating and keeping very closely in touch with members of the Lisk broader ecosystem through short YouTube videos and monthly AMA – Ask Me Anything sessions. This article will highlight some of the most recent videos while equally bringing important concepts to your attention directly by Kordek himself.
A quick look at Max Kordek’s official YouTube channel shows that he has released 14 videos when publishing this article. Max has made it a weekly ritual to keep in touch with his audience through short videos he makes using his iPhone.
Using this media channel, Max Kordex has answered questions concerning Lisk’s flagship event – Lisk.js 2021 Conference, coming up on May 21st and 22nd. He stated that the Lisk.js event for 2021 would be a fully online event, unlike the first Lisk.js event in 2019.
LSK listing on a US-based exchange
Answering a community member question on listing LSK on US-based exchanges, Max Kordex reminded community members that LSK is presently available on three US-based exchanges, namely Kraken, Poloniex and Bittrex. Kordek, in this video, also revealed how strategic and vital the US market is for Lisk. According to him, the US ranks among the top three users of the Lisk network. However, he also cited requirements that must be met before any US-based exchange can even begin to be considered to happen. Per the video, any project seeking to onboard on a US-based exchange must get a legal opinion from a reputable US-based law firm before it can begin to facilitate the whole process. Max also made sure to inform the community that the decision to list LSK does not rest on Lisk Foundation but on the particular exchange.
Differences between supporting and core LIPs (Lisk Improvement Proposals)
On the aspect of Lisk Improvement Proposals (LIPs), Max Kordex gave a succinct explanation of the differences between core and supporting LIPs. Max explains that LIPs are essentially research papers broken down into LIPs. Supporting LIPs are necessary features of the Lisk interoperability solution but are not part of the core features. These types of LIPs are constantly being released as the date for Lisk.js nears. The core LIPs are crucial research papers stating the essential features of Lisk’s interoperability solution.
Lisk Interoperability Solution
Max Kordek shared in one of his short YouTube videos the architecture and how Lisk’s Interoperable Solution will work. Explaining in simpler terms some of what was released in the High-Level Overview blog post, Kordek shares how data can be transferred from the mainchain (Lisk Blockchain) to sidechains (blockchains built with Lisk SDK). Essentially, Max Kordex explains that Lisk’s interoperability solution is based on the paradigm of cross-chain certification (CCU).
Future revenue sources for Lisk Foundation
Max dedicated one of his short YouTube video sessions to answer a question asked by one of the community members concerning the future revenue sources for Lisk Foundation. Max Kordex says there are several options for the Foundation to explore, such as running a Lisk Delegate or developing its own Dapp and earning revenues (in the form of transaction fees or yields).
