Ledger Support is Getting Closer, New Demo Video Released by Hirish

The latest Demo Video released by Hirish shows the use of a custom Lisk Nano version in order to support the integration with Ledger Nano S.
This is an important step that makes closer the compatibility of the Lisk wallet with the most famous hardware wallet.

The Ledger App and custom API for Lisk integration has been developed by Vekexasia, a GDT delegate, and currently the developer is waiting for the review from Ledger team. Meanwhile Hirish built a custom version of Lisk Nano and ,thanks to the access to the alpha version of the App and related API, he was able to integrate the Ledger with the Lisk wallet.
Once LedgerHQ will fully support Lisk, integrating and publishing the official App, Hirish will push the code on the official Lisk Nano repository and LiskHQ will be able to integrate it as soon as possible.

During Lisk relaunch event LiskHQ announced that they will support Lisk Nano till Core 1.0 (https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk-nano/pull/1032), but after that period this wallet will become obsolete and replaced by Lisk Hub.

In order to face this situation, one of the Hirish’s projects is to fork Lisk Nano and create and maintain a new Lisk wallet with all the main functionalities made by the community, such as:

• Vote Manager, by integrating Lisk.Builders Vote Manager (https://lisk.builders/votemanager/)
• Pending Rewards, by integrating Lisk.Support API (https://lisk.support/lisk-pending/)
• Multisignature support

and

• Ledger Nano S Support
• Trezor Support
